About AquaSprings Dental
At AquaSprings Dental, we have three excellent dentists that provide high-quality dental care. Our dentists include Dr. Alexandra Aponte, Dr. Cohl Brazil, and Dr. Maaheen Khalid. Dr. Aponte. After graduating from the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston, Dr. Aponte completed a residency at Washington, D.C. Veterans Affairs Hospital. During this residency, she was trained in surgical techniques, restorative dentistry, and implant therapy. Dr. Aponte works hard to educate her patients about their conditions and make them feel comfortable in the office. Dr. Brazil. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. After dental school, he completed a residency program at the same college to receive training in conscious sedation, wisdom teeth removal, and implant placement. Dr. Brazil is a compassionate dentist dedicated to providing patients with high-quality dental care. Dr. Khalid. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Dr. Khalid loves working with her patients and providing quality healthcare. She makes time in every visit to answer all of her patient’s questions and make them comfortable.
Advanced Technology
At AquaSprings Dental, we use advanced technology to provide high-quality dental care to our patients. A few types of technology we use are intraoral cameras, digital x-rays, soft tissue lasers, and hard tissue lasers.
Intraoral Cameras
Sometimes it is hard to see the fine details with just a tiny mirror. An intraoral camera allows your dentist to look at your teeth in particular. The camera is handheld and easily fits in your mouth. Dentists can recognize hairline cracks in minutes. The camera can even take photos to see your teeth up close.
Digital X-Ray
A digital x-ray is preferred to traditional x-rays because they are safer, quicker, and have better outcomes. Traditional x-rays do have a small amount of radiation emitted when using them. However, digital x-rays do not use radiation to take pictures. Traditional x-rays take a while to process, while digital x-rays show the image captured instantly. Lastly, digital x-rays have more clarity and are a better diagnostic tool.
Digital Scanner
AquaSprings Dental invests in the latest technology to ensure a better patient experience. No more goop, gagging, or discomfort. Using a special intraoral scanner, your orthodontist can take a highly accurate digital impression of your teeth and jaw. The new technology completely eliminates the tray and putty impressions, where the experience is comparable to stuffing a big wad of gum in your mouth. The old technique is incredibly unpleasant and frequently results in taking multiple rounds of impressions that can be rejected, broken, or misplaced. Our scanner ensures a more accurate impression from the start, resulting in improved treatment and a more comfortable patient experience. Digital impressions also give you the ability to see your teeth instantly in 3D, improving communication during the consultation and treatment process.
Soft and Hard Tissue Laser
The dentists at AquaSprings Dental utilize soft tissue lasers to provide better oral health treatments. Lasers take the place of traditional oral surgery that requires scalpels and sutures. With laser technology, the laser cuts and cauterizes while reducing the amount of bleeding and potential infection. Additionally, laser technology decreases the need for anesthesia and numbing medication. Procedures using lasers are more comfortable and more accurate.
Dental Savers Plan
If you do not have dental insurance and are looking for a San Marcos dentist, look no further than AquaSprings Dental. At AquaSprings Dental, we offer a dental savers plan for patients that do not have dental insurance or need supplemental dental insurance. There are several benefits to dental membership. Patients receive two free oral exams, a periodontal evaluation, an oral cancer screening, digital x-rays, two emergency exams, one cosmetic consultation, two cleanings for healthy gums, and two preventative fluoride applications per year. Patients also receive discounts on periodontal and cosmetic treatments. Additionally, there is no waiting period, no claim forms, and no minimums or deductibles with the dental membership. AquaSprings Dental can be your San Marcos dentist. Our dentists provide high-quality dental care for patients with advanced technology in our office.
